"I have watched this famous island descending incontinently, fecklessly, the stairway which leads to a dark gulf..." - Winston S. Churchill.

England Expects...

"England expects that every man will do his duty". Those were the immortal words, made from the poop deck of HMS Victory by Admiral Nelson at 11:15am on October 21st 1805. What was to follow, just minutes later, was one of the most significant naval battles of all times. At stake was the freedom of Britain's islands from subjugation by the ruthless military adventurer and aspirant to Alexander the Great's mantle - Napoleon Bonaparte.

Today England once again "expects". Yet it is not the expectation of a courageous stand against those who would destroy freedom - as in 1805 or 1940. Rather it is the expectation that other countries, especially those where the population has been rendered undiscerning by the 'opium of easy money' will dutiful sacrifice their freedoms on the altar of British liberal intellectualism.

England is no longer able to unilaterally impose her will by force. Yet engaged with the United States in a crazy folie à deux we are compelled to watch the nauseating and supremely hypocritical intervention in Iraq and elsewhere. Indeed, the cynicism of the cabal running (or should we say ruining) England knows no bounds. Occupy someone else's country, on the basis of 'liberating' the population, whilst you progressively rob you own people of the very freedoms you piously claim to be offering to those whom you have invaded! Never forget, these are the same 'fiat currency printers' who would have you believe that your 'money' is safe in their hands - are you holding Gold?

The 'England Expects' section of the nzgold website is designed both for expatriate Poms - who wish to monitor England's progress as the new European 'gulag' - and the emerging body of ordinary Kiwis who are starting to wonder just what is happening to New Zealand. Increasingly - tyrannical political correctness, the growing 'scapegoating' of the majority 'Anglo-Saxon' population for all societies ills, the proscribing as 'racism' of all attempts to rationally debate immigration, a burgeoning yob culture and the growing emergence of the cameras (that have made the Poms the most monitored population in recorded history) point to New Zealand re-embracing the wartime maxim of "where Britain goes we go". Michael Joseph Savage rushed to join Britain's courageous stand in 1939 because he had understood that every human freedom was at stake from a tyranny of overwhelming evil. Today, less than an average lifetime hence, we find Britain - and especially England - shamefully presiding over the destruction of the freedoms that so many Kiwis sacrificed themselves to uphold.

England's establishment - along with their new masters in Europe - may 'expect' but if Kiwis have any sense they will 'do an Admiral Nelson'. Famously, he turned his 'blind eye' to his telescope - so that he might ignore the stupidity of his 'superiors'. We should do likewise!
